About Faculti
Faculti is an international video streaming platform and educational resource dedicated to expanding access to expert knowledge through the power of media and artificial intelligence. Headquartered in the United Kingdom and operating globally, Faculti is committed to transforming the way academic insights are shared, understood, and applied.
Founded on the principle that knowledge should be accessible, contextual, and engaging, Faculti disseminates cutting-edge research and thought leadership from the world's leading universities, research institutes, and scholars. By combining professionally produced video content with AI-enhanced tools for summarization, personalization, and academic guidance, we aim to empower users to explore complex ideas with clarity and confidence.
Faculti was created by a school teacher who self-funded its development while working two jobs. This foundation reflects our core values—resilience, independence, and a deep belief in education as a force for social transformation.
The journey began when the founder approached Professor John Ellis at CERN and King's College London to speak about the discovery of the Higgs boson. Professor Ellis's enthusiasm and support led to the first-ever Faculti interview. With nothing but a single video camera and determination, the founder began filming academic interviews across London—capturing stories, insights, and research from leading thinkers.
Ten years on, that solo effort has grown into a global platform powered by a small, dedicated team of journalists, editors, developers, and educators. Faculti now features over 8,000 expert insights from across the world, in multiple languages, reaching millions of viewers.
Institutions such as the London School of Economics (LSE), University College London (UCL), and Imperial College use Faculti to support their teaching and academic outreach. Policy organizations such as the Bank of Korea and other international institutions employ Faculti to update their staff.
From the outset, a UK university steering group encouraged the development of a comprehensive, secure, and thoughtful academic platform. Their guidance was instrumental in ensuring that user data, such as login information, would never be sold or shared. Instead, Faculti focused on long-term sustainability—introducing institutional memberships and individual subscriptions to support the integrity of the platform, fund content production, and enable the continued work of a small, dedicated team.
Today, the platform features over 8,000 expert insights from across the globe, creating a rich, interdisciplinary ecosystem of knowledge. Every element of the platform is shaped by a commitment to academic integrity, user trust, and meaningful global access.
